Students

Who are we looking for?
People who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in gerontology, disabilities and caregiving or applied economics.

How do students fit in?
Support and possible funding is available for post-doctoral and graduate students’ projects that fit with overall RAPP goals. Our students help with:

  • preparing grant proposals
  • developing research questions
  • fine tuning methodologies
  • collecting, analyzing and interpreting data

Our talented students gain knowledge, skills and practical experiences that enable them to become the next generation of researchers on global ageing:

  • preparing oral presentations and posters
  • traveling to and presenting at national and international conferences
  • writing journal articles and FACT sheets.

What's new?
Congratulations to Satomi Yoshino who successfully defended her dissertation Ethnic Variations in Care of Older Adults in Canada.

Congratulations are also extended to our 2011 award-winning students:

  • Sharon Anderson received the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship (doctoral level)
  • Sarah Lucas received the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship (masters level)

Post-doctoral fellowship opportunities available at Leeds University UK at CIRCLE: Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities.
